Livingstone Studio's Meet the Artists

BEAVER ISLAND JEWELRY will be at Livingstone Studio's Meet the Artists on Saturday, August 1st. Noon to 4 p.m. Come visit me there!

Here's a map of Beaver Island. Livingstone Studio is on the way to the Whiskey Point Lighthouse at the end of Paradise Bay.

Had to put this little garden thing on my blog as I love her! Got her at Livingstone Studio and she now sits in my garden. Cool!

Some funky earrings!

Summer days on Beaver Island, Michigan

I should be sitting in these chairs relaxing but no! Have been busy doing stuff. Saturday was Art in the Harbor here on Beaver Island. It was gorgeous day although breezy. Things kept blowing over. But a nice day to gaze over Paradise Bay while waiting for customers! Kind of slow but hey who can complain when you are overlooking Paradise Bay!!

The Pitcher's Thistles are blooming on the beach. These two photos show the interesting Pitcher's Thistles. They are a protected (federal I believe) species.

Soon I will show some photos of a typical day on Beaver Island but haven't loaded up the photos yet! Tomorrow I have a lampwork lesson with a student here on Beaver Island. Should be fun but I have to go and clean up the studio!

Old views of Beaver Island

These are some old postcards of Beaver Island that my husband found. This one is McDonough Cabins. I don't know where this is or was.

The King Strang hotel - when it was a hotel. It is a condominium now but is still here.

And the Shamrock Bar & Grill which is still here! Looks like it is in the 1950's.

Beaver Island Electric Car Show

Love these little bouquets on the beach - Hairy Puccoon.
Cary very relaxed on his vacation! Having breakfast at the Paradise Bay Coffee Shop last Sunday.

Here's some of the cars at the Electric Car Show. This is a Zenn and this is the one I want! There are about 7-8 electric outlets around the island for folks to plug into it and recharge. We already have quite a few electric cars soundlessly moving around the island.

Even electric trucks are available!

Another Zenn electric car.

Price tag for one of the Zenns - plus it looks like there is a rebate available.

Cary looking at the Zenn.
This electric car has seats for six! It is like a bus!!
